Our Events

The Kitchen Chick invites you to browse our calendar of upcoming classes and events. Our cooking classes are uniquely themed, including holiday favorites, southern specialties, seafood delicacies, and so much more! You can learn to make what you love! To ensure you get the most out of your experience, we keep our classes small so that our instructors get more one-on-one time with you. But this also means they fill up fast! So when you see a class that piques your interest and fits your schedule, contact us to reserve your spot.

Cooking Class: Gulf Seafood – Feelin’ Crabby! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Gulf seafood is all about latitude & attitudes! Chef Bailey Glover will teach you how to properly cook & prepare delicious fresh seafood dishes! We're feelin' crabby, how 'bout you? You will learn to make a corn, bacon and jumbo lump crab soup. Next, you will give soft shell crab a classic treatment: à la meunière (pan fried with a creole sauce). You'll also learn to make a crispy crab cake accompanied by a creamy remoulade sauce. Finally, we'll make a decadent frozen lemon tart with chantilly cream. Life on the gulf coast sure is tasty!

$75/person.

Kids Summer Cooking Camp: Brunch Favorites! @ The Kitchen Chick

Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps!
 
These classes will immerse your child in a safe, educational & entertaining world of food and feed their interest in cooking! Students will learn different cooking techniques, discuss nutrition/healthy eating and practice food/kitchen safety in these deliciously hands on, interactive and encouraging lessons! Your child’s kitchen confidence will skyrocket!
 
Each camp is 4 days in length, held 1PM-4:30PM, limited to 13 students (7-14 years) and led by dynamic duo of certified teachers. Campers should arrive having already eaten lunch, wearing closed-toe shoes and long hair secured back. The Kitchen Chick will provide aprons for each child to wear and all supplies and tools. Each student will receive all recipes prepared during their session on their last day of camp.
 
Registration Information:
Children can register for any number of weeks during the summer – pick one or two weeks, or sign up for all seven! The cost for each one-week (4-Day: Monday, Wednesday-Friday) session is $300 per camper. The Kitchen Chick offers a $25 discount when enrolling a sibling in the same session. Each session can accommodate up to 12 campers. Payment due in full at time of registration.

Session 6: Brunch Favorites! Mini chefs will rise & shine when they learn to prepare these breakfast-brunch-lunch dishes! Menu includes homemade donut dippers with decadent chocolate sauce, bagelwich BLTs, glazed strawberry 'poptarts' with a fresh homemade filling, our riff on Galveston's favorite Bronco burrito made with bacon fat tortillas, French crepe rose cake, deep dish cast iron breakfast pizza, hot chocolate waffles topped with fresh strawberries and chocolate-dipped candied bacon, savory ham and cheese Dutch baby pancakes, oven-baked Parmesan home fries with lemon scallion aioli dipping sauce, and southern fried chicken served over crispy corn cakes drizzled with creamy Sriracha sauce.

Cooking Class: Cooking with Fresh Herbs! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Bailey Glover will show you how to harvest fresh herbs and incorporate them into your cooking! You will learn to bake airy herb popovers slathered with a compound butter. Next, you will prepare a flavorful minty tabbouleh salad perfect for summer entertaining. Chef Bailey will teach you how to grill her dynamite flank steak drizzled with a zesty chimichurri sauce. Finally, you will bake an incredible lemon tart with a homemade rosemary shortbread crust. It's easy being green here at The Kitchen Chick!
