Kids Summer Camps!

Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps!
These classes will immerse your child in a safe, educational & entertaining world of food and feed their interest in cooking! Students will learn different cooking techniques, discuss nutrition/healthy eating and practice food/kitchen safety in these deliciously hands on, interactive and encouraging lessons! Your child’s kitchen confidence will skyrocket!

Each camp is 4 days in length, held 1PM-4:30PM, limited to 12 students (7-14 years) and led by dynamic duo of certified teachers. Campers should arrive having already eaten lunch, wearing closed-toe shoes and long hair secured back. The Kitchen Chick will provide aprons for each child to wear and all supplies and tools. Each student will receive all recipes prepared during their session on their last day of camp.

Registration Information:
Children can register for any number of weeks during the summer – pick one or two weeks, or sign up for all seven! The cost for each one-week (4-Day: Monday, Wednesday-Friday) session is $300 per camper. The Kitchen Chick offers a $25 discount when enrolling a sibling in the same session. Each session can accommodate up to 12 campers. Payment due in full at time of registration.
2017 Session Information:
Session 1: Bake & Be Happy! Starts June 12 – Mini chefs will be baking up a storm in this session! Menu includes sweet chocolate babka cake; pretzels from scratch with homemade mustard for dipping; crunchy chocolate concord cake; creamy creme brûlée; savory French cheese soufflé; classic banana cream pie; traditional sausage & cheese Czech kolaches; delicious loaves of honey wheat bread with honey butter; addicting cheeseburger clouds; crazy-good spanokopita; parmesan breadsticks from scratch; homemade frosted fruit pop tarts and delicious golden butter cupcakes dipped in rich chocolate ganache! 
Session 2: Comfort Foods! Starts June 19 – Campers will learn to make their favorite foods! Menu includes creamy dreamy mac & cheese from scratch; flaky southern biscuits & homemade gravy; mini chicken pot pies; fresh & fruity deep dish pandowdy pie; real Texas beef chili with corny corn muffins; classic chicken & dumplings; decadent Texas sheet cake; savory tomato soup topped with grilled cheese croutons; traditional lasagna with homemade pasta and Italian ragu sauce; individual meatloaf & mashed potato ‘cupcakes’; and towering strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream!
Session 3: Summer Lovin’ Seasonal Cookin’! Starts June 26 – Mini chefs will love making all kinds of tasty foods using seasonal ingredients! Menu includes: fresh baked loaves of honey buttermilk bread; icy watermelon granita; gulf fish tacos wrapped in homemade tortillas topped with a crunchy citrus slaw; fresh berry ice box pie; chickpea of the sea salad; crispy kale chips; frozen chocolate dipped banana pops; pulled pork sliders with a quick pickled slaw; lemon & herb tabbouleh; all-American quick & easy corndog muffins; homemade cracker jacks; melty cheesy roasted corn dip and fresh-fried tortilla chips; summer tomato & basil pizza from scratch; and cream filled tarts topped with ripe berries!
Session 4: Food Truck Favs! Starts July 3 – Campers will create over-the-top meals that are food truck-inspired! Menu includes: braised short rib tacos with quick pickled slaw; homemade marshmallow s’more stacks; chicken & waffles on a stick with spicy buffalo syrup; baby bloomin’ onions with sriracha aioli dipping sauce; a decadent donut inspired by Elvis; loaded inside-out burger; crispy potato emoji fries with homemade ketchup; Nutella stuffed crepes from scratch; falafel nachos with homemade pita chips drizzled with tzatziki sauce; personal BBQ chicken pizza pockets from scratch; and better-than-Hostess homemade chocolate cream filled cupcakes! 
Session 5: Sweet & Savory Science! July 10 – Campers will learn the science behind some of their favorite foods! Menu includes: grilled citrus-marinated fajitas wrapped in homemade tortillas; creamy chocolate swirled cheesecake; crunchy granola parfait layered with ripe berries and sweet yogurt made from scratch; hand-stretched personal pizzas topped with pepperoni and homemade ricotta cheese; real fruit gummy bears from scratch; authentic hand-rolled sushi; delicious poached eggs cooked using three different techniques; fresh popcorn balls made with homemade marshmallow cream; and campers will conduct our famous chocolate chip cookie experiment each day!
Session 6: Brunch with a Bang! Starts July 17 – Campers will love learning to make their breakfast & lunch favs! Menu includes: light & fluffy Dutch baby pancakes with fresh berry syrup; honey butter chicken biscuits from scratch; freshly baked cheddar & jalapeño scones; tasty Cajun eggs benedict; Nutella filled homemade cinnamon rolls; traditional Czech fruit-filled kolaches; crispy Canadian bacon & chive potato hash; refreshing summer fruit smoothies; homemade on-the-go granola bars; hand-stretched south of the border breakfast pizzas; and tasty breakfast tacos on homemade tortillas and fresh & chunky salsa!
Session 7: Around the World! Starts July 24 – Campers will take their tastebuds on a trip around the world! Menu includes: delicious Indian butter chicken over rice; French madeline cookies dipped in chocolate; savory vegetable samosas; authentic hand-rolled sushi; fresh sunomono salad; steaming ramen bowls; silky panna cotta with ripe berries and chocolate sauce; handmade pasta with fresh pesto and marinara sauces and meatballs from scratch; crispy egg rolls; homemade fortune cookies; classic beef & vegetable stir fry; traditional fried rice; and authentic chicken tagine stew!
