Cooking Class: Rock the Wok Asian-Inspired Dishes! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Get ready to rock the wok with Chef Mary Bass! You will learn to make some of your favorite Asian-inspired dishes from scratch! We’ll start by preparing a duo of savory appetizers: hand-rolled pork egg rolls with homemade teriyaki sauce and chicken lemongrass pot stickers with duck sauce. Next, practice your knife skills while making a classic shrimp stir fry with fragrant garlic ginger sauce over steamed white rice. Finally, we’ll end the class on a sweet note by baking a cardamom-infused plum & ginger cobbler. Chopsticks are included! 🙂

Chef Toni will teach you her secret recipe for making foolproof sugar cookies here at sea level and how to ice them perfectly. You’ll learn to MAKE, pour, pipe, border, fill, dye, paint and dust royal frosting! Each participant will leave with a dozen adorable red, white & BBQ-themed cookies, as well as all the recipes, knowledge and confidence to make them at home!

Kids Cooking Camp: Session 4 Food Truck Favs! @ The Kitchen Chick

Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps!

These classes will immerse your child in a safe, educational & entertaining world of food and feed their interest in cooking! Students will learn different cooking techniques, discuss nutrition/healthy eating and practice food/kitchen safety in these deliciously hands on, interactive and encouraging lessons! Your child’s kitchen confidence will skyrocket!

Each camp is 4 days in length, held 1PM-4:30PM, limited to 12 students (7-14 years) and led by dynamic duo of certified teachers. Campers should arrive having already eaten lunch, wearing closed-toe shoes and long hair secured back. The Kitchen Chick will provide aprons for each child to wear and all supplies and tools. Each student will receive all recipes prepared during their session on their last day of camp.

Registration Information:

Children can register for any number of weeks during the summer – pick one or two weeks, or sign up for all seven! The cost for each one-week (4-Day: Monday, Wednesday-Friday) session is $300 per camper. The Kitchen Chick offers a $25 discount when enrolling a sibling in the same session. Each session can accommodate up to 12 campers. Payment due in full at time of registration.

Session Information:

Session 4: Food Truck Favs! Campers will create over-the-top meals that are food truck-inspired! Menu includes: braised short rib tacos with quick pickled slaw; homemade marshmallow s’more stacks; chicken & waffles on a stick with spicy buffalo syrup; baby bloomin’ onions with sriracha aioli dipping sauce; a decadent donut inspired by Elvis; loaded inside-out burger; crispy potato emoji fries with homemade ketchup; Nutella stuffed crepes from scratch; falafel nachos with homemade pita chips drizzled with tzatziki sauce; personal BBQ chicken pizza pockets from scratch; and better-than-Hostess homemade chocolate cream filled cupcakes!

Cooking Class: Sicilian Street Food! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Emanuele is sharing authentic Italian recipes enjoyed in his homeland: Sicily! You will learn to prepare outrageously delicious arancine (Sicilian rice balls filled with ground beef or ham and mozzarella), tasty rotolo di sfoglia (flaky puff pastry horns brimming with ham & cheese) and sweet torta della nonna (soft ‘grandmother cake’ made with yogurt). These traditional foods are a true taste of southern Italy! Mangia!

Menu includes: grilled citrus-marinated fajitas wrapped in homemade tortillas; creamy chocolate swirled cheesecake; crunchy granola parfait layered with ripe berries and sweet yogurt made from scratch; hand-stretched personal pizzas topped with pepperoni and homemade ricotta cheese; real fruit gummy bears from scratch; authentic hand-rolled sushi; delicious poached eggs cooked using three different techniques; fresh popcorn balls made with homemade marshmallow cream; and campers will conduct our famous chocolate chip cookie experiment each day!

Cooking Class: Tex Mex Tacos & Nachos! @ The Kitchen Chick

Come take a cooking class at The Kitchen Chick! Chef Mary Bass will teach you to make over-the-top delicious tacos & nacho dishes! You will learn to make homemade tortillas filled with smokey chipotle pork tacos topped with a grilled pineapple salsa! Next, you will prepare savory sweet potato and black bean tacos drizzled with roasted corn crema and quick pickled jalapeno & red onion. Next, we’ll make a big batch of skillet nachos studded with spicy shrimp & chorizo sausage and topped with fresh pico. Finally, we’ll end the class on a sweet note by frying up sweet bunuelos and making a horchata caramel dipping sauce from scratch. So many tacos we couldn’t contain them to Tuesday!

You’ll learn her perfect pie dough recipe – the full-proof foundation for all of her delectable tarts! You will make a hazelnut, pear and gorgonzola tart drizzled in sweet honey. Next, you will learn to make a roasted garlic and caramelized onion tart topped with a spicy tomato bacon jam! Finally, we’ll end the class on a sweet note by mastering a classic Meyer lemon tart topped with chantilly cream! Our tart class is sweet, savory & completely addicting!

You will also learn to make traditional bacon green beans, crispy jalapeno cheddar hush puppies, sinful bechamel white gravy and creamy corn casserole! We’ll top this southern feast with old-fashioned flaky buttermilk biscuits smothered in honey butter! Y’all, this class will make you want to ring the dinner bell!
